I visited one of Jackie’s all day workshops this week along with Jean, my mother-in-law, for her surprise 79th Birthday. She had no idea where she was going or what she was doing? We were greeted by Jackie with a lovely warm welcome and taken through to her studio. It was at this point that Jean realised what was in store for her and much to my disbelief she blurted out that the two things she wouldn’t like to do was jewellery making and pottery!! Once we got over the shock of what she had just told us we just all burst out laughing and from that moment on the day just got better and better. Jackie was the perfect host, ever so patient and helpful, guiding us along nicely through the course of the day showing us all the techniques needed. At lunch-time we were presented with Jackie’s delicious home made soup & sandwiches accompanied by a choice of chutneys and best of all prosecco! We were supplied with tea/coffee and cake throughout the day, we were truly spoilt. I would highly recommend going along to one of Jackie’s many workshops, it’s great to learn a new skill and have something beautiful to take home that you’ve created yourself. Jean enjoyed it so much that she wants to attend weekly classes so she can make more gorgeous ceramic creations. Thanks for a perfect day Jackie, we hope to see you again soon ☺️
Jackie is a fabulous potter and great teacher. Workshops are fun and you can come away with amazing creations.
Jackie made us a gorgeous wedding plaque and I’ve since bought gifts for family…..I’ve my eye on a couple of the plates / platters, jugs & fairy houses too!!
